I've had diabetes 10yrs (since 15) now and it has held me back from the
armed forces and a career in the flight industry (pilot) of which I have a real
problem with!!! Besides the mentioned, it hasnt restricted me from doing
anything anyone of my peers can do physical, mental, academics, work, ect.
SInce finding out about islet transplant I have become curious about the anti-
rejection drug's side affects and long term side affects and wonder if we
(diabetics) r not just trading one set of complicated "known" problems for a
whole new set of "unknown" complicated problems. I am still novice on the
transplant idea but would find it cool if someone out there could help
enlighten me........

Thanks
Mark
