When I re-read your remarks and my reply, I definitely missed the boat. My apologies.
In terms of finding out the real reason behind the onset of type I, the search for the "virus" would seem too laborious. Does anyone know if they've found the genetic predisposition. I've heard the correlation of identical twins (ranging anywhere from 35%-50%), but have they found the gene yet?
