Thanks for the cost of Insulin data. Much apreciated.

I'd agree with you on the prospects of TTH normally but the
CEO also co-founded Angiotech Phamaceuticals and a couple of other companies. He was also head of the Canadian Arthritis Network for a few years and Teaches at the University of Toronto.

Also INT is has been tested in Edmonton and kept Islet cells
alive longer for transplants as well.

Anyway the announced extended Phase one was completed today. They will be filing a IND and phase II should begin in early
2005.

From todays news release:

The I.N.T.(TM) technology platform is based on the discovery that naturally occurring peptides could regenerate the body's insulin-producing cells. Two products are under development, Transition's lead product, I.N.T.(TM), has completed two phase I clinical trials and GLP1-I.N.T.(TM) is currently in pre-clinical development. These products involve a short course of injections that stimulate the body to regenerate insulin-producing cells. For diabetics receiving islet cell transplantations, Transition is developing technology using I.N.T.(TM) growth factors to increase the number and longevity of islet cells prior to transplantation, thus allowing for better utilization of donor organs to perform a greater number of transplantations.

Anyway it was a Canadian that originally discovered insulin, and the first Islet transplant was done in Canada, we have to continue the tradition.

It's good for INGAP to have some competition, with two potential
therapys hopefully one if them will be the breakthrough we are looking for. That way should I ever develop Diabetes I won't have to go through what my relatives did.

Good luck to all, thanks again for the Insulin cost info.

Albert
