I highly suspect the calculations are made assuming an average diabetic will be using Lanuts, the new determir (out in a few months--expectedly), and also the higher costing Novolog, Humalog, and the new Apidra (Novolog copy-cat,,,,out anytime now--expectedly....from Aventis).
