Hi Al,

I read the TTH report you're referring to about a last weekend and enjoyed it. BUT,,,,,it has a hugle flaw....at the very end, it comments (in the small writing:-) that the investment banking firm responsible for the article received money from Transition Therapeutics for having done so. This makes their opinions worthless, no, but one step away from it. You might as well have let the company write their own report and watch the new investors flock in (I highly suspect they did have something to do with the exact writing of it). I watch the pharmas and biotech intensely and have done so for many years. If I had a dollar for every report written with a positive sounding twist as this one was, but then the company went bankrupt or their drug candidate simply couldn't "cut it," then I'd be very, very rich.

In clinical trials of all new pharmaceuticals, only 1 in every 5 drugs in phase II studies will make it to phase III.

I to have looked at the stock, but INGAP will be the frontrunner. They are well over a year or maybe two ahead of Transition Therapeutics. Buying a stock like Schering Plough, Corixa, or Vivus would probably be a much more prudent choice in the short run (now to next 1.5 yrs). Just look at the stock history for TTH. Sure, it's dirt cheap, but I'm sure there's a very good reason why. It's not by accident. They have no proven product at all.
