I found this board on an Internet search for Transition Therapeutics. Been reading some of the INGAP stuff.
Transition Therapuetics has just done a $15 million CDN private placement. The research report put out by a merchant bank on the company says the average cost of insulin for a year for a patient is $1200 US. Not being a diabetic I was wondering is this accurate?
The research report goes on to say that INT (Transition's) therapy for stimulating new pancreatic cell growth will be marketed (2010 if successful) for around $1200 US. This sounds
pretty interesting. Novo Nordisk has exclusive rights to the technology and must invest 5 million US by third quarter of 2004 to stay on board.
The full research report can be found here. It's got some pretty interesting facts in it.
If someone here has a chance to read it I'd be interested in your opinions.
I have invested in this company, and am not trying to promote it and am not associated with the company.
I am not a diabetic but had two close relatives with type II diabetes, and am a med lab tech and interested in this sort of stuff.
The 32 page report can be found here.
