Dear Paul:

I started taking benfotiamine for diabetic neuropathy about 10 months ago. One of the side effects I experienced was a complete cessation of sciatica episodes.

Many of my clients use benfo for sciatica. The results are mixed. If your sciatica is due to a severe structural issue, you may not get relief from benfo. Those who do get relieve speculate that the benfo reduces inflamation of the sciatic nerve, providing the relief.

Doctors and pharmacists in Germany do recommend benfotiamine for sciatica.

I hope this has been of some help.
