Now that the Canadian Parliament has dithered away another session without coming up with any legislation to protect embryos against researchers who want to create these cell clumps just to destroy them in stem cell research, for no better reason than to cure otherwise intracable diseases, Dr. Alan Bernstein of Canada Health Institutes has announced that he will start giving grants for embryo creation and research anyway, in the absence of Parliament having made a decision. With villains like this encouraging the deliberate creation of embryos just to destroy them, how will society ever be convinced that medical research funds should be diverted to prevent the leading cause of death in every country -- the spontaneous destruction of embryos when they fall out of the womb -- which currently no money and no research funding is devoted to preventing, somehow without arousing the least concern from the public!
