Something had to first cause my body to attack my islet cells that brought on my Diabetes. My immune system was weak in that fact that it allowed this "something" to get inside or develope in my body.
My immune system isn't any stronger than the next guys. I have Diabetes because my cells recognized my islet cells as something foreign and destroyed (or severly injured) them.
