I re-read the article carefully, and while, as stated in my earlier post, I have no problem with what is being said, I have a great deal of trouble with the way in which it is being said.
I am not a medical person but have some years experience dealing, like you, with a child learning to cope with this damn condition. Like you, and everyone else associated with diabetes, I strive for the best outcome at all times. However I have not lost my sense of humour - death awaits me if I do.
The comments of those who posted with extreme convolution were to me simply satirical, ironic if you will. It is a form of humour to which I recommend you. Perhaps it is a cultural thing, as an Australian I particularly enjoy this genre, it seems Canadians also appreciate the form. My neck is now out a long, long way, but I suspect you are from the USofA, where I have previously noticed a different style of humour. All this is a long way of saying the babble written by those who commented should not be taken seriously, smile ☺ enjoy the world.
