I'd like to have accurate statistics about how many children and adults are really being diagnosed with type 1. I've heard that 1 million in the U.S. have type 1 - I've heard this for 13+ years now. I've also heard of clusters of children getting diabetes in a particular area - it would certainly help if we could identify the environmental triggers. I support making type 1 a reportable disease.
