What actually is killing your beta cells is your T-cells, a type of while blood cell. If I remember right, about 80% of nearly diagnosed diabetics have detectable antibodies. You are part of that 20%. Antibodies are like a secondary response and are not necessary for disease.
If they did a sophisticated T-cell test they would find auto-reactive T-cells.
