Why not just try it in a volunteer?

Anything that reasonably works(like this capsule) is given a slow death. Why not just try it on a real person! Implant the capsule and put the volunteer on a glucomonitor with an alarm. Monitor the volunteer for 12,24,36 hours in a hospital setting and see if it works. With a monitor and medical observers there would no danger of either hypo or hyper problems. Even if it's done in Mexico-it's fine with me. If we have to wait for the FDA and WPA researchers feeding at the public trough for a cure we will continue to be screwed.
