These are very strong statements, and I would ask: (1) Show me any evidence to support the risk of PERV infection, especially to support such dramatic statements as "the next HIV".(2) Dr Ricordi appears to be talking about different trials, or to be unaware of what is really happening, as he cites the danger of immunosuppression, a procedure that is NOT being used or even anticipated in these trials. (3)I would be very interested in hearing the specifics behind Dr Ricordi's claim that these trials "do not use proper scientific techniques".
All I am asking is to hear the specific evidence on which these three very negative criticisms are based. I am asking with an open mind, as we all want to know if there is anything to support such extreme allegations.
