I know very little about tics or Tourette's but I know diabetes has neurological side effects. Is it possible that the form that these complications take could vary from one individual to the next, and that a certain small percentage might get tics? Alan, I was wondering if you have any young diabetes patients with neurological issues. If you do a MEDLINE search for eeg and diabetes you can come up with a lot of studies. I don't know anything about amplitudes, outcomes, etc. of eegs, but maybe if you take a look at these abstracts you could speculate whether tics could possibly be one rather rare complication of diabetes. I am linking just one of the many studies I came up with on a MEDLINE search.
