Mr. Simard, It's nice to know that you and your family donated to someone after meeting me! I'm sorry if I was too prophetic for you. What can I say? Except that I too find some of those attached to Islet research (mentioning no names of course) to be arrogant and narrow-minded sometimes. But I'm more than willing to support this research - because alongside them I know its merits.
The inspiration and gratitude spurring me to start my run was no other than Terry Fox. Has anyone taken a look at his personality and convictions at close range like they have me. I have; I've walked and talked with his brother and his organization many times throughout the years. The world needs people like us - whatever "us" is percieved to be by the world at large and those closely around us.
Yes, I've respectfully dropped my public banter with Al. But as for you boys coming out of the woodwork - that's another story.
