Very interesting article indeed. Especially for me. I took a minor in Sociology, know without exception all the qouted academics in this well, and did a mini-thesis on a book by Henry Bergman called "All that is solid melts into air". Let's hope there is something solid in this world that doesn't melt into air. --Universal Morals-- But then of course these things are held in our souls and hearts not in our concrete buildings and bureacracies.....Yes these things will eventually melt into thin air. But let me make a few comments about Islam vs. the west and some of the possible evil ramifications from the industrious of the "west" along with the evil we've seen in Islam recently. Ask yourself where some of the most despicable degrading things to humanity like snuff films and pornography of the sickest level, serial killers, prostituting ones body for sex(need I go on) take place?! You won't find porn studios in Afghanistan. No that's left for the States....almost exclusively. Yes I hate extreme Islamism but there are "things extreme" in the States to hate and fight amongst all the good there. Let's remember this. As far as man's industriousness and how in the article it shows how our political systems have been democratized as a result of it.....There is a flip side. It's a known fact that the only man made structure seen from Space is the Great Wall of China. Suppose God (if there is one) can see this from his loft and marvel over man's acheivement.....and then all of a sudden there is also a huge billowing cloud of smoke arising to the heavens. (Nuclear/Atomic Bomb) God has and will again see how man's technology has been fashioned into weapons so destructive to itself it can be seen visibly from space. I hope you all appreciate such a rant on this site. I could be out drinking with the yahoos right now..ya know. Now let's get back to talking "Diabetes."
