I'm flabbergasted by what I'm reading on this board. Some very sensible people that have been active contributors and cure advocates since TIF came online seem to me to be concerned about the Pandora's Box that could be opened if stem cell research becomes federally funded and sanctioned - are we ready to give careful consideration to those issues and look 5 minutes into the future of what stem cell research and technology development entails beyond 'getting my or my kids' cure' even though there is absolutely NO guarantee that it would provide a cure? Clearly the answer is 'no' for a number of people given the irrational hostility I'm reading here. That's really sad, IMO. Those who can't see beyond their own comfort and relief (or their descendents) could easily end up doing exactly what we do here today over another malady brought on by the supposed 'cure'. Karma indeed...
