Paragraph 1: hmmm.. _who's_ whitewashing? My scenario had everything to do with the discussion at hand. I find nothing similar in your stories. I agree with you entirely, please don't try to imply that I find any of them acceptable because I do not, I find them appalling. Interjecting *historical gore* is again using emotion, not law. Following a concience and sticking with the CURRENT legal system are two different things.
Paragraph 2: I did not imply that you personally viewed it this way. What I am saying is if there was a broad ban on federally funded research on discarded embryos w/parental consent, then it should be illegal to donate whole organs of brain damaged infants who were given parental consent to be taken off life support for federally funded research.
Paragraph 3: I have *every* right to pose these questions, I amd the Mom of a son w/Type 1. I may be posing these questions for my possible future grandchildren moreso than my son, though, because as I said I am starting to conclude that the glucose sensing closed loop artificial pancreas will be what extends and improves lives for this generation of people with diabetes.
Any Johnnie Cochran's out there? :)
