If they didn't purposely deprive the baby of oxygen, then it's not a parallel situation. (embryos don't wind up in test tubes without wombs by accident) Also, an embryo does have a chance for survival if it is given "life support" as you say, for nine months, not forever, which is what you said was the case for the baby. I know what you're trying to say, but the situations are different.
