Both of the above seem to be the consesus among researchers (that I've seen) but have never seen a study done to prove either. They would seem to be relevant factors in the Cure puzzle, particularly for possible new novel approaches.
If your ideas (using the blood to determine) are doable, should they not be being done by someone?
