I have toured the Inhale Therapeutics research facility and I used to work with the Director of Product Development. All this, years before I was introduced to diabetes by my daughter. Little did I know.

Some factors that are interesting.

The powdered form seems to be stable at room temperature for about 2 yrs. I through out a lot of pretty full bottles.

Another engineer there claims to have found a way to let EVERYONE inhale the insulin the same.

He also claims that the response is closer to natural insulin from the Pacreatically unchallenged (PUC)then Humalog.

Now, I don't have a clear vision of how it will come to be used in the real marketplace. And I have some reservations about how it will match up to the pump.

I don't think they have long acting insulin yet, so until then it will not replace all shots.

It may be great for type IIs.
