There will be at least technology that equate to a cure. Will they be able give you a shot and you can forget about D? Much less likely than transplanted islet without immunosuppression or and long term implantable bio or artificial pancreas.
So, if you mean a cure, where it just goes away forever and nothing to do to keep it away. Then you may be write. Even a biosrtificial P will probably need freshing in some way.
