Thanks for posting this...very interesting...but what was graphically incontrovertible proof for why ONLY islet cell transplants will TRULY resolve the ravages of diabetes was shown in the "figure" linked within this article. I've seen comparable graphs for those on pumps too who wore sensors, but even though the pump enables the user to more closely mimic the insulin infused to the ups & downs registered by the sensor, no way it can compare to the "real deal". I am still an ardent pump proponent, but being a "visual learner", I have to admit that this graph really "told it like it is".If I did this correctly, the link below should take you directly to the chart.
