It seems to me that this and the earlier work you mention shows that there is a potential source for islets. How one avoids the immunsystem is still a hurdle. ISM could solve this, right?
I was excited about a potential source if pigs or something else can't be used. This may even be a preferable source provided the expense and risk of biopsy are tolerable.
We have both halves of the problem to solve. The supply problem and the immune problem. I am happy when I see progress on any front.
