Ron and Robin,

I emailed the 'exhibits' info yesterday to request information about exhibition requirements.

Anyone involved would definately need to be on the same page. Although, in honesty as much as I empathize and support the animal based insulin dilemma, I wonder if it would end up a diluted effort to try to effectively cover multiple issues.

It may seem a nebulous objective, but the general 'attitude' (care over cure) of the ADA is what disheartens me most. There is a need for 'care' education for many, but Cure is so backseat in the ADA's agenda in my perceptions as a consumer and that annoys me. I do not feel they represent my child and his NEED for a Cure (as a person dx'd with Type 1 at age 2) as well as they could/should as the American Diabetes Assoc. I feel it is important to put this message into the faces of the ADA hierarchy in order to see a distinguishable change in its pursuit (or lackthereof) of euglycemia for children with diabetes.

Note-my email has changed from what some of you have to: tmsb@bresnanlink.net I have been able to receive on the old and new for several months, but I'm going to be dropping the old, tbujold@up.net within a week or so. (gotta love the high speed cable connection)

Therese
