The interview took place this afternoon at Global TV studios. (I look divine in make-up!) However, Fritz Bach was a no-show, leaving the stage to the host, Dr. Margaret Somerville and me. I'll let viewers judge the outcome.

The important part is that the reason I was given at the studio for Bach's absence was that he was meeting with our Prime Minister, Jean Chretien. This meeting is taking place just as Canada is debating its xenotransplantation policy. I have no confirmation if the reason given for his absence is valid, but if it is......

Anyway, it is essential that the committee hears from as many people as possible about the promise and safety of xenotransplantation. As a reminder, the call for comments is at NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES: Intent to Develop a Regulatory Framework for Xenografts.
