I saw a spot on "the tube" last night, an advertisement run by medic alert.

Ambulance tears into emerg, unconsious young man on a gurney, lots of excitement around, doctors and nurses yelling and screaming, lights flashing, pulses racing...and in the end? The caption was.......YOU WOULD TELL THEM ABOUT YOUR DIABETES...AND YOUR INSULIN REQUIREMENTS.....BUT YOU'RE UNCONSIOUS. Buy a Medic ALert Bracelet. yadiditty yadittity

Now, the patient actor could have been in a car accident or whatever, or he COULD have succumbed to a severe low, who knows?

Now, Medic Alert is a fantastic product, right? I'm sure they have ethics committees and the like who would have to okay that type of advertisement.

That's the kind of media that is catchy, dramatic, and what "we" need more of, I think.
