" My A1Cs are pretty darn good, but my son's aren't - and that scares me (especially after the CWD forum with Dr. Brink, which just reinforced other studies I've read)."

I just read the forum with Dr. Brink at CWD. Common sense says that the closer to normal bg's, the less damage to the body, so what Dr. Brink teaches is justified from a medical standpoint.

He was a " co-investigator and one of the Docs who wrote the DCCT protocol," so I suppose he should practice what he they have 'discovered.'

I was disappointed that nobody asked Dr. Brink about his opinion on the psychological effects of intesive therapy on young children, as this has been a hot topic of discussion on this board in the recent past.
