Al, just out of curiosity, what does the money donated to the Islet foundation go for (aside from upkeep of the organization).
Have you ever thought of setting up the "Al Gordon foundation" whereby you would send the money from any and all donations to organizations who are actively seeking a cure through feasible means (including of course xenotransplantation). Obviously being on the outside most of us wouldn't have access to the same information and connections that you would.
Just a suggestion anyways.
