I thought this would be an easy question to answer, but no luck. Any help would be very appreciated.

Here is what I'm trying to find out. Typical insulin molecules-how big are they? In other words, if there was an islet implant of some sort surrounded by a semi-permeable immunoprotective membrane, what is the minimum size the pores would have to be to allow the insulin to move out, in microns.
I thought this would be something fairly easy to find an answer to, but I haven't been able to find it yet. If anyone knows this or could point me in the right direction of places or sites I could try, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Meira
