Interestingly, the use of embryonic stem cells is infinitely more controversial than xenotransplantation. Even if this technology were "ready to go" tomorrow, it would probably take years to sort out the ethics issues. I wonder if the NIH, JDF or ADA are funding any research of this sort? While I personally don't have a problem with it, I know many would.
