I thought you may have been there, dahling. :)
I recall (many moons ago in one of the "give islet transplantation the re$pect it deserves" threads here at TIF) quoting Dr. Eisenbarth touting I.T. as what will most likely cure diabetes.
While several respected Universities and the private sector appear to be breaking some new ground in collaborative efforts, I have yet to come across the Barbara Davis Center included in any of the collaboration. That's not to say, of course, that they may not be doing so behind the scenes.
I'd love to hear from anyone who may be able to enlighten us on this matter. I feel that collaboration and communication is of equal importance to a large budget if we want to see islet transplantation succeed.
