I feel so helpless about my sons diabeties he is 6 and was diagnosed when he was 5.
When it was found he had it i grabed the doctor and told him he was wrong ,but it did'nt change anything he was a diabeticand will be for life.
He has taken it better than his mother or i have we are so protective of him now and are scared to let him out of our site
and check him more often than needed.
It's funny how precious somthing becomes when you are faced with the possibilities that unless you take good care of it you could lose it, i've found out just how much i will do for my son to keep him well and it's no trouble when i think about it
I'm just glad he has accepted it as well as he has he is a little trooper and just accepts getting the blood tests and the insulin and watching the others having cakes and lollies and he has fruit or some bread or water to the coke or pepsi they have
he makes me think how smart he realy is for his age.
