I don't know if the government could cure diabetes even if it set the Fed's mint machines on full-ahead. Without a focused, concerted effort that lays out a roadmap of sorts and relies on accountability, not much is going to happen. I await the availability of the Diabetes Research Working Group report early next year to see what areas will be funded for the next decade. I'm nervous, to tell the truth.
