I think I have seen many wonderful ideas expressed on this forum in the last few days..addresses to write to and strategies to follow. I plan to follow some myself and write some letters myself. I also plan to make some phone calls.
I feel as frustrated as you , Sandy, and I am certainly no soothsayer in terms of how to accomplish our goal. I work on my own but I think it is equally important to work with an organization that is respected by the scientists and the government. I do this for a multitude of reasons but one of the benefits is knowing that everything doesn't depend on me all the time. I see some of the same feeling shere on TIF and this is why I am here.
Beyond this organizational support, I donate time and money to academic institutions I feel will help my son. I tell my story everywhere. If anyone can think of anything else, I am ready and willing.
