This information was one part of a speech he gave. Here are the pertinent statements:
"Dr. Patrick Soon Shiong and our islet cell implant program at VivoRx, is in final stages of enrolling patients and should have at least one new implant completed by the time of Mylan?s annual meeting July 30th.
Dr. Soon Shiong has an IND approved to implant 24 patients with proliferated human islet cells.
Twelve of these patients are to be on immuno-suppressant medication and twelve are to be with out immuno-suppressant medication."
