I sat next to ADA Vice-President of Government Relations, Michael Mawby, when the full DRWG reconvened in the evening to share the subgroup recommendations. We talked briefly about what Al and I do as grassroots advocates, and Joseph's Diabetes Advocacy list.
I'm rather baffled at ADA's stance that more funding is the only priority. The DRWG is mapping out diabetes research priorities to carry the NIH up as far as 2010.
