I was shocked to read that Steven Craig had passed away.
It was only a few weeks ago that he called our office
to inform Mark Collie of the latest w/Islet Foundation.
He was an inspiration to everyone who knew him--as
a person, a volunteer, and a friend. He worked
tirelessly for any organization that supported
education, awareness, and fund raising for a
cure for diabetes. He volunteered with the Mark
Collie Celebrity Race for Diabetes Cure committee
in helping to to get celebrities, auction items, and
just giving advice. If there was any charity event
going on in Nashville for the diabetes cause, Steven
could be found working hard to assist in any way he
could. And in those times he would never take credit
for anything he did--he loved helping others because
he knew what the cause was worth.
None of our committee was aware of his death, and I
will notify them as soon as possible. He will be
remembered as a "great friend" to all of us.
