I'm not a nurse but I associate with the nurses at Virtual Nurse alot and have heard horror stories about the LACK of staff! In a nursing home, one nurse may be in charge of 20 patients on her shift! those who have diabetes have to wait till she has the time to get to them!! Lows and highs are not caught early enough to prevent them! 1 person can not take care of so many people and get her paperwork done too! Half the battle nurses face these days is there just aren't enough nurses to go around!!
