The Green Bay Packers vs. the S.F. 49ers in tomorrow's NFC championship game (Go Packers!)

Steve Mariucci, the coach of the 49ers, (who grew up in my small town and who's Mom, Dee, babysits for my good freind's children. Brother Bobby was my 7th grade boyfreind :) ) was Brett Favre's qb coach and good personal freind during his time as a G.B. Assistant.

Mike Holmgren, the G.B coach, grew up in S.F., was the S.F. offensive coordinator before becoming head coach in G.B. He is also Mariucci's 'mentor.'

So as you see, it is like one big happy family here.

Be patient, I'm getting to my point......

In an news article this morning, a writer wrote about this 'love fest' between the 49ers and Packers. But something he wrote was another example of the the ignorance about diabetes. Dale Hoffman says: "Normally, when one coach owes that much to another, he's grateful not to get an invoice in the mail. But the San Fransisco 49ers rookie leader indicates that gratitude will stop Sunday. The sooner the better. A couple more days of this unrelenting sweetness, and the NFC Game could go into insulin shock."

'Too much sweetness leads to insulin shock.' This was printed in an article on the front of the Milwaukee Jounal-Sentinal Sports page. Great, that will really stop the perpetuation of myths.....

Just had to vent....
