I just received in the mail the January 1998 edition of Diabetes Interview. By the way, I would recommend this publication for everybody who visits the forum -- in fact, for anyone who has any interest in diabetes.

As usual, the staff at DI have done a brilliant job in reporting on the field of Non-Invasive and Semi-Invasive Glucose Meters. They compare the 14 companies involved in developing such technologies, and provide information on operating mode, expected availability, corporate financing, and advantages/disadvantages. This is the best side-by-side comparison of such devices I have ever seen, and Melissa Sattley deserves a medal. The work behind the scenes must have been formidable.

Conventional glucose metes are also discussed, as well as many other items of interest to families with diabetes.

I have provided a link below to the DI web site, and I would suggest getting a subscription. Likely there will be letters from some of the companies in the nest issue clarifying their products (as is generally the case in published comparisons).

Al
