I know everyone is angry over the amount of money that goes to AIDS research. By the way this is not a defense of that funding but I can understand and will try to explain the why AIDS research is so well funded.
IT IS TRANSMITABLE BY CONTACT. IT THREATENED THE BLOOD SUPPLY AND BLOOD BYPRODUCT TREATMENTS. THERE WERE/ARE EXPOSURE HAZZARDS IN HEALTH CARE.
If diabetes was transmited by contact, funding would be greater.
As I said not a defense just some of the reasons it gets greater funding.
