I spoke to one of the European researchers who visited your conference in Washington. Your report was very much like the things he told me. I am not so optimistic about Juvenile Diabetes Foundation as you are. I think all the wrong people still manage the foundation. Many researchers are like a bunch of jealous children and these are the ones who are comfortable with foundations because they are so unsuccessful in the laboratory. I know this business well. Your suggestions for JDF should be implemented.
