No, you're not the only one. I remember too. One optimistic conference is a nice start, but after years of frustration from JDF, I've got a bit to go before I'll start believing TOTALLY in their efforts again. But like I said, this sounds like a nice start, maybe the beginnings of a change in direction and focus. When the Human Islet Trials have begun, funded BIG TIME by JDF, and SOON, NOT 5 YEARS FROM NOW, that's when I'll really start buying that "the decade for the cure" will happen, and not just be an empty dream. (And an honest response from E. Schutt would be nice.) But, let's not lose sight of the fact that this a nice start...hope there's lots more to come.
