In reply to Mr. Alan F. Bachrach, M.D.
I am not at all in medical science by profession or qualification. But I am willing to spend any amount of time, effort and energy to get the required knowledge I need to make effective contribution. I am sure each one of us can contribute in some way or other positively. It may sound cliche but what we need in belief in ourselves. It is my belief that anybody can contribute to any field provided he/she has sufficient desire and will. And we have large stake out here - your and my life :)
Lets move forward and see what can be done about it and lets do it.
What is also important for the concerned researchers to realize that they are not doing a 9-5 job but doing something much more bigger and more meaningful, something that will leave a mark in the annals of history. And we are all behind them in every possible way.
Lets all break some more myth like directed research rarely if ever succeeds and other such crap(pardon my strong expression).
Yes hoping and discussions are great but they are just balms. We have had enough of them. Now lets have some real stuff.
You better be able to tell your grandchildren or about whosoever you care that yes we have made a difference and found a cure instead of saying - yeah we spend our life hoping and hoping that someone will come up with a solution, and yeah we had a lot of hot discussions on a lot of rumours.

PS. In case someone feels hesitant to discuss or put forward his/her ideas in this forum, my personal email is more than welcome. But I feel that this forum should be used (unless of course Al Gordon decides to throw us out :) )as a lot of concerned people who have a big stake out are listening. We want to move forward with all of them.
