That was an excellent report Alaster. You sound very positive or at least hopeful about J.D.F.

I agree with all your recommendations for helping J.D.F. become relevant in ending diabetes. If you want to get J.D.F. to listen you need to send them a bill for $200,000 and call yourself McKinsey and Company. I am looking at Dr. Mulvihill's letter about the McKinsey project and the silly map they developed (The life stages of diabetes start at Onset, pass through Complications and end at Death. Gee I didn't know that!) Dr. Mulvihill also says that the report would be final last October. Has anyone seen it?

As I suspected it is the researchers who are both the ones to cure diabetes and the reason it is not being cured. Your description tells me that the decent people in J.D.F. want what we want but they have turned the big decisions over to researchers who do not want what we want unless they personally get all the glory for it. My dealings with most researchers have not been a source of comfort.

What you are doing is going to make you a target for a lot of criticism and misinformation by the people you threaten. The more of that you get the better you are doing your job. This omlette cannot be made without a few broken eggs.
