I never had any doubts as to JDF's "efficiency" since that just means the percentage of donated dollars that are distributed after the cost of running the organization is deducted. Why I stopped giving was the ridiculous research they chose to fund with those efficient dollars. With some of the things I have heard here this week maybe I can believe that the researchers will no longer be running JDF for their own good and the hell with us and our families. Anybody who believes that SMART MONEY is able to analyze the value of funded research is pretty naive. Who cares about some magazine award? I judge by the depressing lack of results and some of the worthless research funded again this year. Maybe it is changing. I sure hope so. You know its really pathetic how Mulvehill would latch on to something like this to prove his worth.
