Whoever said that it was receiving EXCUSIVE funding?! How can you make such an untruthful remark without any evidence whatsoever to back up your statement?

P.S. Nobody thinks private companies are "evil", but you have to be honest, at least with yourself, and admit that shareholders will not be eager or willing to financially back a company that promises to cure diabetes. Even if a replenishment of beta cells is warranted, it is simply not going to garner the big dollars needed from the private sector. There is no lottery ticket with cure research; there are huge profits to be made, on the other hand, for new products concerning diabetes management.
