I agree with you... Plan "B" is always a good thing to have...
This covers the case of... what if Plan "A" doesn't work
(or doesn't work soon enough) and also may provide an option for patients who for whatever reason cannot tolerate encapsulated islet cells techniques... or mayhaps
have a religious conflict with transplantations... hmmm
betcha some folks never thought of that one eh?
